That particular effort was a ghost story. As I recall the author who was running the creative writing course I was attending at the time reckoned it was better than the entry that actually won. Pity he wasn't judging the competition as well. If I can find it and figure out how to get it into a suitable format to publish on the blog I might share it with you. It was written on an Amiga computer back in the 1980's before I had a PC. I still have the Amiga, I just need to hook it up to a TV and figure out now to overcome the technical hurdle of transferring it to my PC.
In the meantime I'm looking to complete the short(?) novella I referred to last week and share that on the blog with you.
On the walking front I managed to tick-off a couple of places of my bucket list last weekend. First off I enjoyed a sun soaked walk around the tops of Cheddar Gorge and the surrounding countryside. Probably not the best territory to train for the three peaks, but not every walk has to a test of endurance. As usual with my impeccable sense of timing I managed to pick the same day as the Cheddar Gorge Marathon, but thankfully made an early enough start to avoid getting caught up in the race.
As an added bonus I also managed to track down the illusive Ebbor Gorge, Cheddar Gorges totally unspoilt little brother. If your ever in the area it's a great place to relax and unwind and spend an hour or two with stunning views across Somerset to Glastonbury Tor.
Finally don't forget to check out the page for my Three Peaks Challenge and consider making a donation it's for a very worthy cause.
And no blog is complete without a mention of Exiles out 25 July and available to pre-order now.
