I have made it a policy never to comment on neither my employer nor employment on the internet as have numerous individuals have found to their cost it can have unfortunate consequences. Suffice to say there was a major event to organise this Friday just gone which necessitated putting in a considerable number of hours to ensure everything was okay on the night. Hours which as a colleague helpfully pointed out can’t be spent twice on other activities.
Although I have to admit organising a walk for the works walking group the day after the night before probably wasn’t my smartest move. Still after what has been one of the wettest winters on record it was a relief not to find ourselves ankle deep in mud on the last day of GMT. Better still with the arrival of British Summer time today I’m looking forward to getting back into the mountains to indulge my passion for hill walking, for some epic and inspiring days out.
Sunday will also see me out and about with the family to celebrate the UK's Mothers Day with a visit to the Croome Estate in Warwickshire where my eldest daughter is working on a project to reimage the national Trust for the 21st Century.
Finally in-between all this activity Rebels has been re-edited, typos identified, removed, ready and waiting for the final proofs of the Prologue and Chapter 1 of Exiles and updated end materials. Meanwhile the revision and edit of Exiles is progressing nicely although I suspect the end may get several revisions before publication.
