The highlight of the last few days has to to be completing the Three Peaks Challenge, I'll shut up about it after this blog, promise. You can read a blow-by-blow by blow account of the event in the previous blog post to this one.
Still if nothing else it proves I have the stamina, will-power, determination, sheer bloody-mindedness or stupidity, (take you pick) to stick at something once I've started it and see it through to the end, no matter what anyone says.
I'll leave you to decide if that's a good or bad thing?
I've just found out one of the members of our three peaks team, Julie, is also a keen diver. So she's going back to the lakes in September to place a gnome holding a picture of the team in the gnome garden at the bottom of Wastwater. Meaning we will be one of the few, perhaps only, teams to bag the highest and deepest spot in the Lakes!
In case the above makes no sense whatsoever Wastwater is the deepest lake in the Lake District and in common with a lot of other locations around the world it has become a tradition for divers to maintain a gnome garden at the bottom of it.
