On the writing front Exiles is now available to pre-order for the Nook over at Barnes & Nobel for just 99¢ and should be appearing on the UK Nook website shortly. I'm also finalising a new short story to replace the one that's currently on the blog.
Last week's training session on the climbing wall was good fun, apart from a rope burn on my forearm, I even made it to the top of the wall once. On the day of my Children in Need challenge I'll need to it at least 16 times in 6 hours. So I guess I need to work on my stamina. Talking of which another training walk for the UK's National Three Peaks is coming up on Saturday 21 June, a gentle 15 mile stroll round Kinder Scout which should help do just that.
The teams page for the challenge is now up and running and taking donations so please pay a it quick visit and if you like what you see consider making a donation. All the money raised is going to support a local group Sandwell Women's Aid who for the last 25 years have offered refuge, support and counselling to victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence. A donation of just £5 could pay for an arrival pack to welcome a child arriving in a refuge who has had to leave their home with nothing.
Finally the World Cups kicked off this week, just in case you've missed all the hype, so good luck whatever team you support and if you don't follow football well you can 'Always look on the Bright side of Life' knowing it only comes around once every four years.
