I didn't encounter any show stopping moments like those on the Yorkshire Three Peaks, but did notice some decidedly breathless moments on the uphill bits. I certainly hope my GP can get me sorted, because much as I love Clent, this is really the sort of walk I should be doing 10-15 years from now when I really am too old to get up a proper mountain. I'm hoping if all goes well on Tuesday I can make a date with Snowdon, my fitness benchmark before the end of summertime.
It really has been a frustrating year walking wise with a number of health problems, I got Cellulitis at the beginning of spring from an insect bite, stopping me from hitting the hill walking heights of last year. And with puns like that its probably just as well I haven't been doing much writing of late either.
I still hope to have a new short story on my blog soon, but I've just had to complete 15 hours of pre-course work ahead of three days intensive training I've got next week, with 3-4 hours homework each evening and an exam at the end of it. So I'd best sign off and get an early night.
