Fathers day was largely about catching up on the jobs around the house that I skipped to go to London, enough to make any one feel under the weather!
Hopefully I'll be feeling better by next weekend, as I'm organising the first of several training walks for Septembers Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge for my work colleagues. A gentle 12.5 mile romp around Stanage Edge in the Peak District.
All this and the day job mean I don't have an awful lot of time for writing at the moment. Which should please the critics at least. Although I'm currently working on a couple of short stories that should be making it onto the blog over the next few weeks. I'm also working on a longer project, more fantasy than science fiction and lighter in tone, but that's some way off at the moment.
Hopefully I'll be back with a more expansive blog next weekend about my adventures, or lack of them, on Stanage Edge. Its been suggested by a few people that I should write a book about the many walking (mis)adventures I've enjoyed over the years. Not something I've considered before, but somethign to add to the to do list perhaps?
